Summer Box DIY

Once the newest REVIVE Seasonal Box hits your doorstep, we know you are off and running trying out all the Essential Oils and Blends. But, as usual, we love sending you some do it yourself ideas so that you can explore even more! Plus, these recipes are perfect for summertime. So, without further ado, here you go.

Cooling After Sun Spray

3.3 oz Spray Bottle

Distilled Water

2 T Aloe Vera Juice

1.5 T High Proof Alcohol

15 drops Cornmint Essential Oil

25 drops International Lavender Essential Oil

First, pour the alcohol into the bottle, then add the Essential Oils and swirl to mix. Next add in the aloe and fill the rest of the way with the distilled water.

To use: Shake gently, then mist generously onto your body post sun to help cool and soothe the heated skin.

Dreamy Solid Perfum

Small Tin or Locket

(Pill boxes or old Altoid containers work)

Glass Measuring Cup

1 T. Beeswax

1.5 T Golden Jojoba Oil

40 drops REVIVE Coconut Dream

Place the beeswax and Jojoba oil into the measuring up and warm in a double boiler or the microwave. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the Essential Oil blend. Carefully pour the hot liquid into your containers and let cool completely.

To use: apply a pea sized amount to your wrists, neck, or even the ends of your hair for a warm, sensual personal scent.

Lemon Lavender Foaming Soap

8 oz Foaming Soap Dispenser

2 T Liquid Castile Soap (unscented)

1 tsp Sweet Almond Oil

Distilled Water

10 International Lavender Essential Oil

25 REVIVE Lemon Splash

Optional: 1 tsp Vegetable Glycerin

Into the soap container, pour in the almond oil and castile soap. Next add the Essential Oils and swirl to mix. If you are using vegetable glycerin, add that in now. It adds a little more moisture and slip. Now, you will carefully pour in your water. Pay attention to the container’s directions as it usually needs some space left at the top for the foaming mechanism to fit.

To use: When washing, simply wet your hands and dispense one pump of lemon lavender scented foam. Massage the lather in your hands for 20 seconds and rinse well.

DIY Tanning Oil

Best Essential Oils For DIY

If you are a sun lover, you probably have used some sort of tanning oil before. But, did you know that you can easily make your own with all natural skin loving ingredients that costs less in the long run? Achieving that perfect summer glow is simple and only takes a few items that you probably already have in your arsenal of oils. This do it yourself recipe is a great option for getting and maintaining the perfect tan this season.

*Please keep in mind this is not a sunscreen! It is meant to be a skin moisturizer that helps you achieve a golden tan. Experts recommend use of a 30 SPF sunscreen or more when exposed to the sun.

What You’ll Need:

4 oz Glass Bottle with Pump

3 T Fractionated Coconut Oil

3 T Olive Oil

2 T Pomegranate Seed Oil

½ tsp Carrot Seed Essential Oil

12 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Optional: 1 tsp Bronze Mica Powder

Why These Ingredients:

Fractionated Coconut Oil is estimated to be about 4 to 7 SPF. We love it because it is very lightweight and soothes dry skin.

Olive Oil has traditionally been used in Mediterranean countries for sunbathing to achieve a dark tan. It is estimated to be about 7-8 SPF.

Pomegranate Seed Oil does not have an official SPF approved rating, but it acts as a natural antioxidant-rich moisturizer that protects against UV damage and repairs skin.

Carrot Seed Essential Oil is rumored to have a high SPF, but the research has been skewed. We are choosing this oil for its skin benefits that include providing intense moisture to the skin and fighting signs of aging.

Lavender Essential Oil is the ideal oil for skin because it soothes inflammation and has antioxidant properties.

How to Make it:

Put the Essential Oils into the bottle first, then add in the fractionated coconut oil. Give a good swirl to mix, then add in the olive oil and pomegranate seed oil. If you are using the mica powder (for a temporary glow), add that in next. Close the bottle and roll it between your hands to ensure all of the ingredients are mixed thoroughly.

How to Use it:

Before laying out in the sun, apply a generous amount to your skin, massaging it evenly.

Re-apply as needed. REVIVE’s Mineral Sunscreen is recommended for sensitive skin.

We have a super fun idea for you to try as this year wraps up and we soon say goodbye to the teachers and hello to summer.

Summer Vibes Roll-on

10 ml Roll-on Bottle

2 tsp. Fractionated Coconut Oil

4 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil

2 drops Lime Essential Oil

2 drops Lemongrass Essential Oil

1 drop Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Add all of the ingredients into the roller bottle and pop the top on. Swirl gently to mix the oils.

Print label below on any round Avery label template and apply to the bottle.

2025 Summer Box DIY Ideas

We always love when a new seasonal box comes around and you get the opportunity once again to explore the new oils and products. Using all of the items on their own is a great way to get some amazing benefits and really see what they are like. But, of course, it can be really fun to create some new projects or recipes with the box contents as well. So, here are a few ideas to get you started with your summer box.

Sunshine & Sandals Diffuser Blend

100 ml Water in your REVIVE Diffuser

3 drops Grapefruit Essence

2 drops Eucalyptus Dives Essential Oil

1 drop Lemongrass Essential Oil

Add all of the ingredients to your diffuser and enjoy the uplifting summery scent!

Secret Garden Clay Diffuser

Air Dry Clay

Rolling Pin

Shape Cutters (cookie cutters work!)

Carving Tools like toothpicks, fine tip knife, or chopsticks

Optional: Dried Flowers or Leaves

REVIVE Secret Garden

Pinch off a piece of the clay and roll it with your pin to about ¼” thick.

Cut your shapes using your cutters, press down on the clay to get the shapes you want.

If using flowers/leaves, press them into the clay to create impressions. Use your tools to accentuate the edges for a defined design. If you are not using them, create flowers or leaves in your clay using your tools.

Let the clay dry. Most air dry clays take 24 to 48 hours. Place them in a sunlit window for a faster drying time.

Place the small clay diffuser wherever you want and add a few drops of Secret Garden to scent your homemade floral oil diffuser.

Summer Spritz

1 REVIVE 3.3 oz Spray Bottle

1 oz High Proof Alcohol

2.3 oz Water

25 drops REVIVE Feel Good

10 drops Grapefruit Essence

Gently pour the alcohol into the bottle and add in the Essential Oils. Swirl to mix then add in the water. Close the sprayer and spritz as desired for a good feeling whenever you need it.

Eucalyptus Dives

Who doesn’t love the fresh scent of Eucalyptus? How about a new variety that is sharp, herbal, camphoraceous, and minty? You got it with Eucalyptus Dives! This Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the South African tree that is often referred to as a Broad Leaved Peppermint. Containing high amounts of piperitone chemotype, this oil is ideal for revitalizing the senses and freshening the air. Additionally, its a-phellandrene content makes it a great choice for congestion and stuffiness, as well as soothing sore muscles.

Chest Rub: Add a drop of Eucalyptus Dives to an unscented natural lotion and apply to the chest as needed for congested pathways.

Sore Foot Relief: Mix a few drops of Eucalyptus Dives into Epsom Salts and warm water, then soak your feet to reduce pain and inflammation.

Fresh Feeling: Take a few deep breaths of Eucalyptus Dives when you need a little boost in mood and energy.

Grapefruit Essence

If you love our Orange Essence, you are going to be crazy about Grapefruit Essence! 2024 Summer Box DIY Ideas

The Summer Box is here, and we have to admit, we are really proud of this one. We hope you have had fun playing around with it so far and that you are loving it too. As always, we love to give you some additional ideas for your seasonal bundle. Here are 2 recipes and a cute project to keep you enjoying your goods.

Summer Vibes Diffuser Blend

100 ml Water in your REVIVE Diffuser

2 drops Lavindin Essential Oil

3 drops International Lemon Essential Oil

1 drop Lemongrass Essential Oil

Add all of the essential oils into your diffuser and enjoy the fresh summery scent.

Birthday Cake Balm

2 T Beeswax

2 T Butter of Choice (shea, cocoa, mango)

2 T Sweet Almond Oil

20-25 drops REVIVE Birthday Cake

Melt all the ingredients (except the essential oils) in a double boiler. Remove from heat and stir in the essential oil blend. Immediately pour into containers and allow to cool. Tastes great as a lip balm and smells good as a balm for dry skin like elbows and cuticles.

Sun & Sea Roll-on

10ml Roll-on Bottle

9 drops REVIVE Salt & Sand

2 drops International Lemon

1 drop Vanilla Oleoresin

Carrier Oil of Choice

Add all the Essential Oils into the roller bottle then top with your carrier oil. Pop on the roller ball and screw on the top. Gently turn the bottle in your hands to mix. Apply as needed for feelings of happiness like a sunny summer day at the beach.

No More Monsters Spray

Here’s a fun project to help your little one sleep better at night; let’s make a new label for the Sweet Dreams Spray! Purchase Avery labels #6874 and create a free account on their website. Design your own label using their templates and get creative. Simply title it “No More Monster Spray” and add any images you wish (you can even insert images of silly monsters). Then print the label and carefully place it over the REVIVE original label (it should fit perfectly). At bedtime, have your kiddo spritz under the bed to help them eliminate fears of the unknown and have Sweet Dreams.
