Summer Box DIY
Once the newest REVIVE Seasonal Box hits your doorstep, we know you are off and running trying out all the Essential Oils and Blends. But, as usual, we love sending you some do it yourself ideas so that you can explore even more! Plus, these recipes are perfect for summertime. So, without further ado, here you go.
Cooling After Sun Spray
3.3 oz Spray Bottle
Distilled Water
2 T Aloe Vera Juice
1.5 T High Proof Alcohol
15 drops Cornmint Essential Oil
25 drops International Lavender Essential Oil
First, pour the alcohol into the bottle, then add the Essential Oils and swirl to mix. Next add in the aloe and fill the rest of the way with the distilled water.
To use: Shake gently, then mist generously onto your body post sun to help cool and soothe the heated skin.
Dreamy Solid Perfum
Small Tin or Locket
(Pill boxes or old Altoid containers work)
Glass Measuring Cup
1 T. Beeswax
1.5 T Golden Jojoba Oil
40 drops REVIVE Coconut Dream
Place the beeswax and Jojoba oil into the measuring up and warm in a double boiler or the microwave. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the Essential Oil blend. Carefully pour the hot liquid into your containers and let cool completely.
To use: apply a pea sized amount to your wrists, neck, or even the ends of your hair for a warm, sensual personal scent.
Lemon Lavender Foaming Soap
8 oz Foaming Soap Dispenser
2 T Liquid Castile Soap (unscented)
1 tsp Sweet Almond Oil
Distilled Water
10 International Lavender Essential Oil
25 REVIVE Lemon Splash
Optional: 1 tsp Vegetable Glycerin
Into the soap container, pour in the almond oil and castile soap. Next add the Essential Oils and swirl to mix. If you are using vegetable glycerin, add that in now. It adds a little more moisture and slip. Now, you will carefully pour in your water. Pay attention to the container’s directions as it usually needs some space left at the top for the foaming mechanism to fit.
To use: When washing, simply wet your hands and dispense one pump of lemon lavender scented foam. Massage the lather in your hands for 20 seconds and rinse well.
