DIY Daily Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin

          4 oz pump bottle
          1 oz Castile Soap
          3 oz Distilled Water
          20 drops Lavender Essential Oil
          10 drops Lemongrass Essential Oil
          10 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil

Mix Essential Oils with soap, then add in water. Pour into bottle and screw top on. Wash face with warm water in the morning and night to help balance skin’s sebum, remove acne causing bacteria, and prevent pimples. To further the shelf life of this cleanser, you can add a natural preservative like Optiphen to soap before adding water into recipe.

*A word of warning about Tea Tree Essential Oil… fight the urge to use more than recommended. Often times, people will think that if an oil is suggested for a therapeutic purpose, then it would work even better if you use more. This is not true! Less is more when it comes to essential oils, especially Tea Tree. Large amounts of Tea Tree oil can desensitize your skin and often dry it out or even burn it! So please, stick to the safe zone when it comes to this oil.

DIY Zit Stopper

          10 ml Roll-on Bottle
          1 tsp. Aloe Vera Gel
          ½ tsp. Witch Hazel
          12 drops Lavender Essential Oil
          8 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Add the Essential Oils to the Aloe and mix well. Then stir in the Witch Hazel until blended in thoroughly. Use a funnel to pour into bottle and top it with roller and cap. Apply the instant you begin to feel a blemish beginning. To extend the shelf life, keep in the refrigerator.
