DIY Foot Exfoliator Sugar Scrub

DIY Foot Exfoliator Sugar Scrub

Being barefoot, walking the beach, and wearing sandals everyday could have some wear and tear on the bottoms of your feet. Create a simple and refreshing scrub to help slough away the dry skin cells and perk up those feet with this Sugar Scrub that is a great natural exfoliator.

About the Ingredients:

Granulated Sugar is coarse but gentle and easy to source (It’s probably in your baking cabinet).

The Carrier Oil in this recipe can really be of your choosing. Fractionated Coconut Oil or Sweet Almond Oil are good choices as they can moisturize while being an effective binder for the sugar.

Grapefruit Essential Oil is cleansing and uplifting, the perfect summer citrus! Peppermint Essential Oil provides a cooling effect which will feel amazing on tired skin.

How to Make:

Gently pour the Carrier Oil into a glass bowl and add in your drops of Essential Oil. Stir well and then begin adding the sugar ¼ C at a time while stirring. Once all the sugar is added and it is mixed evenly, place into a container with a lid.

How to Use:

In a bathtub or foot tub, soak your feet in warm water for a few minutes to soften them up. Scoop out a bit of the scrub and apply to feet, then massage tops and bottoms in a circular motion. Return feet to warm water and use hands to wipe the remainder of the scrub off. Continue soaking as desired.
