How to Make Essential Oil Soap
No matter which type of Melt and Pour Soap you use, the first step is going to be to gather all of your supplies. You will need:
* One of the great things about this soap is the creative freedom you have to add in embellishments of your liking. Each of these can be added at 1 tsp per pound of soap.
Colors: natural dyes, micahs, and color blocks are skin safe additions
Botanicals: herbs, seeds, flowers, petals
Exfoliants: loofah, oats, coffee, salts
Essential Oils:
When you want to use Essential Oils that add to the cleansing factor of the soap, there are many options. Some REVIVE blends that would work well for this are Purify, Deodorizer, Fresh, Germ Away, Immunity Boost, and Tumble & Tidy.
As far as single oils you can use for germ killing purposes to create your own blend, we love citrus oils like Lemon, Orange, and Lime as well as antifungal oils like Tea Tree, Thyme, and Clove.
Fun Idea: Make a dog shampoo using REVIVE Pet’s Odor!
For the most part, when you are adding Essential Oils to soap for just scent purposes, it is helpful to choose some of the stronger smells since you do need to use a lot of oil to get a good scent throw. Blends that REVIVE offers in this category include Citrus Break, Joy, Fantastic, Mint Rain, Mommy Fuel, and Smile.
For single oils that have a stronger scent, you can try Peppermint, Coffee, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Cinnamon, or Lemon.
Have fun creating your own scents with simple blends like Orange Cinnamon or Lavender Lemon.
